Friends With No Asterisk

I hate, when the chips go stale
I hate, when the dishes aren’t done
I hate, when I forget to pay the bills
I hate, when the grass is too long

Be careful what you say, you can throw your own life away
I can sit here and reason, but I’m the only one to persuade
Sometimes I like it cold, I prefer my bed to be a mess
There’s no method to my madness, only happiness will confess

Just leave me alone, I don’t care what you have to say
Don’t pick up the phone, you know I don’t answer anyways
To be your friend, should not come with an asterisk
We’ll meet again, I leave for just the hell of it

I love, a rainy day watching flics
I love, man’s best friend
I love, a dirty kitchen while stuffed real fat
I love, masturbating to relieve the stress

Be careful what you say, I don’t take kindly to idiots
Respect my way, I’m fine with all the silliness
Perfection is a myth, and it’s ugly to me anyways
I embrace my mistakes, they’re my memories of innocence

Just leave me alone, I don’t care what you have to say
Don’t pick up the phone, you know I don’t answer anyways
To be your friend, should not come with an asterisk
We’ll meet again, I leave for just the hell of it
